Leblon

Quiet and cool, between the sea, the lagoon and the mountains, Leblon is one of the noblest addresses in Rio de Janeiro.

The neighborhood is one of Rio de Janeiro's most prized areas, with the highest value per square meter in the city.

Leblon is known for its beach, one of the most popular and quietest stretches of sand in the city. The surrounding streets are tree-lined and have restaurants ranging from cozy French bistros to lively steakhouses, as well as quiet bars for beers and caipirinhas. Shopping options include designer boutiques and Shopping Leblon. The Teatro do Leblon is an essential venue for an eclectic program.

Leblon is located in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro and is an upscale area of the city. The neighborhood is right next to Ipanema, their beaches separated only by a canal called Jardim de Alah. Leblon is also bordered by Gávea, Lagoa and Vidigal. The neighborhood has many luxury homes and is considered one of the most expensive places to live in Brazil. This charming corner of the city is set against the backdrop of Morro Dois Irmãos, one of the postcards of the Marvelous City.

Leblon is an important gastronomic hub and has already won a loyal following. The trendy Rua Dias Ferreira, for example, has excellent options for bars and restaurants and is considered one of the main gastronomic destinations in Rio de Janeiro. There are many options in this famous area of Leblon. CT Boucherie, for example, is a specialty meat bistro for those who like to eat well.  In business since 1986, Sushi Leblon is the first Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood. Esch Café combines the characteristics of a café, bar, restaurant and delicatessen with great refinement.

In the heart of Leblon is the traditional Jobi Bar, the meeting point of Rio's bohemian scene. The bar is a reference for its well-brewed draft beer, codfish cakes and mouth-watering snacks and Portuguese-Brazilian dishes. The bar is small and always full.

Giuseppe Grill, on Avenida Bartolomeu Mitre, is a restaurant that is famous for having the best meat in Rio de Janeiro. The atmosphere is sophisticated and the service is up to scratch. Filé do Lira may seem like a simple neighborhood restaurant, but give it a try and experience one of the best steaks in the region. The place is small and simple, but it's very well located - about five minutes from the beach - and it's a good place to eat well at lunchtime.

The traditional Bracarense is the typical bar that best sums up Rio's botecagem: zero formality, courteous service, cold beer and the most delicious boteco snacks.

Leblon is synonymous with luxury, a valuable cultural cradle with a genuine Carioca soul. To live in this noble neighborhood in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro is to have a series of privileges and one of the best quality of life in the country.

The area is home to a wide variety of stores, as well as a wide range of services and leisure options - you can find gyms, registry offices, laboratories, supermarkets, restaurants, offices, bookstores and cafés. Leblon has some of the best infrastructure in the country.

Rua Ataulfo de Paiva, for example, is home to most of Leblon's shops. It cuts through the entire neighborhood, starting at Avenida Visconde de Albuquerque and ending at Avenida Borges de Medeiros. As well as a wide variety of designer stores and general commerce, the street also concentrates commercial buildings with offices and medical practices, as well as bars and restaurants. Rua Dias Ferreira, on the other hand, offers a very diverse experience from start to finish, with ateliers, cafés, bookshops, popular restaurants and dirty bars. A symbol of Rio's new generation, the street attracts all kinds of visitors.

The neighborhood also has two shopping malls, Shopping Leblon and Rio Design Leblon.

Leblon has everything visitors need to have fun: beach, nature, shopping and bars that are the face of Rio de Janeiro. There is no shortage of options for leisure, entertainment and culture here.

As well as the fabulous beach, the neighborhood also has the Mirante and the Dois Irmãos Park. The Mirante do Leblon is located on the far right-hand corner of the beach and offers a breathtaking view of the beaches of Leblon, Ipanema and Arpoador. The huge wooden deck is positioned on the rocks and is a place to contemplate the beautiful landscape. Take the opportunity to sit down and have a coconut water at one of the stalls. Next to the Mirante is the Penhasco Dois Irmãos Municipal Natural Park, a place of pure tranquillity that is still little known by tourists. The park is located in an environmental preservation area surrounded by lots of greenery, and has several attractions: toys for children, a sports court, lovely gardens and a 1.5 km trail that leads to the bottom of Irmão Menor, which makes up Morro Dois Irmãos.

The neighborhood has one of the best infrastructures in Rio de Janeiro in terms of commerce, services and leisure, with options for all tastes, but not for all budgets, with shopping malls and high-end restaurants aimed at a luxury audience.
