Located between Copacabana beach and Ipanema beach, Arpoador is a Rio classic. With its characteristic rock formation, it is a small beach, about 600 meters long, with strong waves.

The ARP Bar, on Av. Francisco Bhering, offers a beach breakfast. They also serve lunch and dinner and have an interesting drinks menu. Nearby, on Rua Francisco Otaviano, is TT Burguer, an artisanal burger restaurant with a menu by Thomas Troisgros. It's a modern place that offers many types of burgers, vegetarian snacks and its famous guava ketchup.

Business in Arpoador and Ipanema is booming. First of all, the location is noble and exclusive, the natural beauty is breathtaking, and another important aspect for those who want to invest in this corner of Ipanema is the promise of liquid sales. Now, in 2021, RJZ Cyrela and SIG Engenharia made their first residential launch in ten years in the Arpoador area - and ended the first day with 50% of the 60 units sold.

Commerce is plural and dynamic. High street stores, offices, clinics. You can find everything in the vicinity. Praça General Osório, for example, is home to the traditional Ipanema Hippie Fair. The fair has been running every Sunday since 1968, attracting tourists and locals alike. The Ipanema Hippie Fair is so important to the carioca scene that it has become a Cultural Heritage of the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Watching the sunset from Pedra do Arpoador is a Carioca tradition that takes on a special touch with the applause of the people who gather there to enjoy the moment. The sun sets behind Morro Dois Irmãos and Pedra da Gávea, forming an incredible landscape. 

To the north of Arpoador Beach, another great place to visit is Garota de Ipanema Park, named after the famous song by Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes. Quiet and wooded, the park has two graffiti-covered skate rinks at the top of a hill overlooking the beach. It is the starting point for short trails and also has a sports court, a playground for children and a skating rink. The area around Pedra do Arpoador and Parque Garota de Ipanema has been the site of some remarkable outdoor music concerts over the last 30 years.
